Doaa Abdel Fattah Abdel Hamid , Kadry Mohammed Nasr And Khaled Amr,

ABSTRACT
Objective: To Evaluate The Clinical And Radiographic Outcomes Of This Customized CAD/CAM Plate For Mandibular Body Fracture Reduction And Fixation.

Materials and Methods: Ten Patients With At Least A Unilateral Body Fracture Indicated For Open Reduction Internal Fixation .Preoperative Assessment And Preparation Was Done Through A Personal Data, Medical And Surgical History And Family History . After Detailed Clinical And Radiographic Evaluation Every Patient Underwent Routine Preoperative Laboratory Tests. Postoperatively Each Patient Was Followed Up At (two Days, Ten Days, Three Weeks, One And Half Month And Three Months From Day Of Surgery) For The Clinical Signs Relating To Stability Of The Osteosynthesis, Wound Healing, Infection, Occlusion.

Results: Clinical Results Showed That None Of The Cases Showed Clinical Manifestation Of Infection Form The Mandibular Body Segment Or From The Plate Postoperatively, Stable Fractured Segments Postoperatively, And The Corrected Occlusion Was Maintained In All Cases. Radiographic Results Showed Proper Reduction Of The Fractured Segment With Narrowing Of The Inter Fragmentary Gap. Conclusion: Custom Made Plates Fit On Every Person Specific Anatomy Giving Us Better Reduction With Excellent Results And Reduce The Time Of Bending And Fixing The Plate During Operation, Allow Patient To Return To Normal Function Rapidly Immediately After The Surgery (considering Good Nutrition And Verbal Communication), Allow The Prompt Recovery Of The Occlusion. Satisfy The Stress Condition And Produce High Stability, And The Use Of Computer Guided Technology Provided A Significant Improvement In The Field Of Osteosynthesis.
